The Idaho Transportation Department plans to close westbound off-ramp at Exit 38 on I-84 after the City of Nampa completes repairs on the water main.
UPDATE: The eastbound I-84 off-ramp at the Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) is now expected to reopen the morning of Saturday, Aug. 15, as the City of Nampa completes emergency water main repairs.
ITD’s scheduled closure of the westbound off-ramp will still begin at 9 p.m. tonight for repaving. Both eastbound and westbound off-ramps on Garrity Interchange (Exit 38) will be closed between 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 and 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. During this time, westbound motorists traveling to the area should use the Ten Mile Interchange (Exit 42) and Franklin Road as a detour. After Saturday morning, please refer below for the originally scheduled detour.
Westbound off-ramp on Idaho Center Blvd:
- ITD will close the westbound off-ramp on Friday, Aug. 14 at 9 p.m. until Monday, Aug.17 at 4 p.m. for scheduled ramp pavement work.
- Motorists will exit I-84 at Franklin Blvd Interchange (Exit 36) in Nampa starting Saturday morning. See detour map.
This project is part of ITD’s ongoing priority to maintain Idaho’s existing transportation system. Regular maintenance helps preserve and extend the life of the roadway, delaying the need for full replacement.
